Alright my little foodies, let’s talk about indian food – indian food is always a good idea, isn’t it? So, where eating a tasty tandoori chicken with a delicious cheese naan – & feeling yourself like in India? The Foodlish has some good indian spots to share with you!
Sagar – 31 Catherine Street, WC2B 5JS
This is definitely the place to be if you want to eat indian and vegetarian food. Here, try the best Dosais (rice and lentil pancakes) in town. As well as southern specialities (as the steamed rice dumplings for example), Sagar also covers Mumbai beach foods. Located in Covent Garden with some branches at Hammersmith & Fitzrovia.
Indian YMCA – 41 Fitzroy Square, W1T 6AQ
It’s time to stop the small eggs & bacon sandwiches at £3 at Sainsbury’s for your lunch. It you are looking for an original lunch in West London, go to the Indian YMCA restaurant. My favourite is the Dahi Vada (lentil rissole in yoghurt and the tin fruits at only p75!).
Delhi Grill – 21 Chapel Market, N1 9EZ
Functional seating, Indian newspapers platered accross the walls… and yummy indian dishes at Delhi Grill. Trust me, try their Rogan josh (slowly simmered lamb cooked with fries onions, ginger and garlic, spiked with aromatic spices and squished tomatoes). Mmmh!
Hot Stuff – 19-23 Wilcox Road, SW8 2XA
Such a nice place (and not very expensive to be honest) where you can eat some good dishes from the North of India. Tandoori chicken wings, spinach and garlic bread… All their dishes are excellent!
