Neon lights, burgers & fruity cocktails #hawaïinlondon

Bold neon lights, bottles of rum and pin-up posters galore, Clerkenwell’s favourite gastropub, The Well, is transforming its subterranean bar into a Sailor Jerry themed pop-up parlour, Hotel Street.

From Thursday 19th May to the end of September, The Well and premium spiced rum brand Sailor Jerry invite guests all aboard Hotel Street, the perfect summer drinking den. In honour of legendary tattooist Norman ‘Sailor Jerry’ Collins, Hotel Street takes its name from the infamous red-light district in Honolulu, Hawaii where Collins perfected his profession.

Escape mainstream society this summer and dive down into a rebellious Hawaiian hideaway with bountiful bar snacks, nautical tipples and rock ‘n’ roll beats. Mixologists behind the bar will be on hand shaking up death defying and glorifying cocktails with fresh and fruity flavours including the Nautical Star (Sailor Jerry, cranberry juice, passionfruit, strawberry purée served with vanilla, mint and strawberries), Hearts and Daggers (Sailor Jerry, Galliano, Cointreau, lime and blackberries) and Drink and Ink (Sailor Jerry and Prosecco served with elderflower and blackberries).

You may not be beachside but come rain or shine a true taste of the sea will be served including; Paignton crab and sorrel croquettes, chilli salt squid with sweet chilli sauce, pints o’ prawns, Jersey rock oysters and buckets of fish fingers with lashings of tartare sauce. Alternatively, get stuck into a hearty rib and shin burger with bacon and smoked cheddar or honey glazed chipolatas which are also available to order.
